Peace Haven is a ministry of the Free Reformed Association serving families and individuals with special needs. I’m looking forward to seeing the ministry in person next month and then speaking a bit in the evening. If you’re in the area please join us; I’ll be exploring the topic of How God Uses Disability.

  1. I’m excited for you! I will remember to pray for you that day; you’ll do great.

  2. Hello Kara, I am looking forward to meeting you on Nov. 15. Our children are supported through Peace Haven. We are tremendously grateful for that ministry.
I have been following your blog for some time now and you have been a real help to me in our journey of parenting kids with special needs. Thank you for your honesty! Wishing you God’s blessing.

  3. Mrs. VanHal, very good point! There are many forms of disability…even emotional weaknesses, chronic pain, PTSD, etc. I’ll be touching on this too. Are you planning to be at the meeting? I’d like to meet you!

  4. i am not sure that all of what i wrote came through. That is ok.

  5. besides diability, there is inability, like I have fibromyalgia, osteosrthritis, which give lots of pain. We adopted 5 children, two as babies and 3 as older siblings. Some days were challenging!!to you as you walk your difficult road.
